SFMade works closely with OEWD and the Office of Small Business to ensure that local manufacturers are aware of and take advantage of local economic incentive programs; to provide a channel of feedback to the City around the needs of manufacturers; and generally to connect San Francisco manufacturers into the economic fabric of San Francisco.

Pacific Community Ventures

Pacific Community Ventures is a hybrid San Francisco-based non-profit organization, associated with three sister equity investment funds, dedicated to driving resources and capital to small businesses that benefit California’s disadvantaged communities. SFMade and Pacific Community Ventures jointly deliver educational and advisory services to local manufacturers, utilizing a powerful network of volunteer senior business advisors.

San Francisco Planning and Urban Research Association. SPUR has been an active collaborator with SFMade from the beginning in the realm of public education and awareness. SPUR has hosted lunchtime forums involving SFMade on such topics manufacturing and industrial land use. SPUR also organized and promoted our very first Walking Tours of San Francisco manufacturers and their neighborhoods.

The San Francisco Travel Association’s mission is to enhance the local  economy by marketing San Francisco and the Bay Area as the premier destination for conventions, meetings, events and leisure travel.  SFMade works with the San Francisco Travel Association to expand market opportunities for San Francisco made products and to provide a greater locally-focused retail experience for San Francisco visitors.

SFMade is co-located with TechShop, an incredible facility that provides tools, equipment and instruction, for entrepreneurs, inventors, artists, and makers of all kinds.  By housing together we are able to cross-reference and offer workshops to an expanded group of makers.
