Company Overview The signature of our classic collection is the use of poetry and prose, and philosophy from writers alive and from antiquity. The words are subtly hand engraved onto each piece, creating a secret and a texture. JPI wholesales to the finest specialty, gift and fashion stores around the world, as well as selling directly from our own website and out of our retail space/showroom. Our store is one of the most intimate and special retail spaces in Union Square–it has been referred to as a ‘jewel box’. Our customers are buzzed in so it is important that we find just the right person to fit with our culture, space and team. Generally only one person is working in the store at any time but we are in constant communication with our main offices and studio in Jackson Square. Job Information

Jeanine Payer, Inc. is a small San Francisco based jewelry design and manufacturing company in business for over 20 years. We are looking for someone to work Saturdays and Sundays for the holiday season in our retail store and possibly be available for fill in when necessary (possibility for long term).

Job responsibilities include

  • Opening and closing store
  • Sending thank you notes, and emails to each customer who purchases a piece
  • Keeping store appearance up to expectations
  • Helping customers choose just the right piece
  • Having a strong knowledge of the product
  • Creating daily sales reports
  • Helping main office with press projects, research and other miscellaneous projects as needed.

Qualifications/Experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • an enthusiasm and love of our jewelry
  • A strong understanding of what great customer service is
  • the ability to make people feel at home in an intimate space
  • a strong knowledge and passion for our specific luxury and designer market
  • an appreciation of words, poetry, philosophy, and prose
  • The ability to work unsupervised and self-motivation to strive for excellence
