Job Information

Recchiuti Confections is seeking an enthusiastic, organized and professional Associate to join our Customer Service team on a full-time basis during our busy holiday season (November-December). Our Associates are often the first point of contact between our customers and our company so we are looking for a dynamic, customer oriented, team player. Our ideal candidate will have strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills. And, of course, the Customer Service Associate must love chocolate and be able to share a passion for our products with our customers!

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Answer Customer Service phones; place straight-forward orders & hand-off complex orders
  • Answer Customer Service emails; respond to straight-forward inquiries & hand-off complex inquiries
  • Troubleshoot FedEx delivery exceptions and proactively redirect packages to ensure safe and on-time delivery.
  • Return phone calls pertaining to any direct orders, trouble tickets, shipping delays, and miscellaneous questions from both voicemail & various customer service email addresses.
  • Print and laminate collateral, signage, and other collateral as needed.
  • Type up and print custom note cards to be included with gifts.
  • Greet customers, vendors and other visitors to our office (act as receptionist)
  • Assist customers with “will-call” pick-up orders as needed.
  • Support Customer Service staff with various projects as needed.
  • Perform occasional administrative duties (e.g. filing, organizing, etc.)
  • Communicate progress and status regularly to Customer Service team.
  • Process, send out, and record PayPal refunds/charges
  • Track and record delivery exceptions and related information via log.
  • Create trouble tickets and change slips, and follow up to ensure that all changes are made and problems are resolved.
Qualifications/Experience

Required Experience/Qualifications/Characteristics

  • At least three years of experience in a customer service, sales, service, or retail role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong MS Word, Outlook, and Excel skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Attention to details a MUST
  • Ability to work well with others a MUST
  • Experience with Fishbowl inventory management system a plus
  • Ability to self-motivate, and to work quickly and efficiently, and to meet deadlines.
  • Interest in the fine food industry and the desire to learn more.
  • Must be fluent in English; ability to speak Spanish a plus.
  • Must be able to work some weekends and accommodate a flexible schedule.
  • Must be able to work through end of day 12/24/12.

 

Compensation Information Compensation for this role is $14/hour. This is a 30-40 hour per week, hourly position. Hours are determined by your supervisor, with the possibility of longer hours depending on company’s needs. Some weekend shifts may be required. Paid sick leave is available for this position, as dictated by San Francisco law.
