Services to help companies find and make the best use of their space.

SFMade’s Places to Make suite of services are designed to help local manufacturers make the best use of one of their most important – and expensive – assets: their urban industrial space. Places to Make services are uniquely tailored to the special needs of – and opportunities for- manufacturers, who seek to locate new, expanded, or start-up space for production, distribution, and related retail operations in the City limits of San Francisco.
Specific programs include:

Industrial Real Estate Finder: SFMade will work with you to find the industrial space – to lease or to buy – that is ideally suited to your needs.

As part of Places to Make, SFMade can assist companies with an array of needs commonly associated with moving into new space, including:

Enterprise Zone Filing: SFMade can handle the extensive paperwork for Enterprise Zone hiring credits, ensuring you take timely advantage of all the program can offer you. It’s like another form of capital, right into your business, right now.

Capital. Sourcing capital for real estate purchase, tenant improvements, and equipment. We have special knowledge of loan programs, including both State and Federal loan guarantee programs, dedicated for industrial businesses and the most experienced lenders in the community for these special products.

Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Incentives. SFMade partners with the City of San Francisco’s Department of the Environment to help local manufacturers take advantage of the most current subsidies and other programs designed to help you make your place more energy efficient. Currently programs include assistance with weatherization; installation of energy-saving equipment; and solar.
