Job Summary


Klean Crave is an emerging, plant-based CPG brand based in the Bay Area, focused on high-quality chia puddings ,for breakfast and dessert like snacking, with strong ingredient integrity and local presence. We are looking for an experienced, self-driven CPG sales professional to help build retail distribution locally.


Role Overview


This is a field-based role focused on building retail relationships, opening new accounts, increasing product velocity, and strengthening the brand presence of our packaged food product within the San Francisco Bay Area.


This is 70% New Account Development + 30% Account Growth & In-Store Support


Duties


You will be responsible for


1) New Account Development

  • Prospecting and opening new retail accounts (independent grocery, specialty stores, coffee shops , cafes, wellness shops etc.)

  • Initiate contact with prospective clients through cold calling, targeted email, and / or LinkedIn.

  • Present product in person and close new retail accounts.

  • Follow up consistently to move accounts to first order.


2) Account Growth & In-Store Support

  • Building and maintaining relationships with store buyers and owners - existing and new

  • Conducting in-person store visits as needed

  • Tracking visits, wins, and sharing weekly updates


Ideal Candidate Profile


  • A self-starter mentality with the resilience to handle the "no’s" and the drive to thrive in flexible, performance-driven environments

  • Strong ability in starting conversations and speaking with decision-makers

  • Comfortable with both phone/email prospecting and in-person selling

  • Based in the SF Bay Area with clean driving record

  • Experience in field sales (food & beverage preferred) for 1 - 2 years

  • Experience calling on independent grocery or specialty retail


Compensation


  • $20–25/hour (based on experience) + Commission on new accounts

  • Hours: ~10 hrs/week, flexible on number of days

  • Performance-based growth opportunity as territory expands
